This role is tailor-made for a technically accomplished leader who loves the craft of complex engineering but wants to escape corporate red tape. You will take ownership of a diverse portfolio focusing on complex
commercial hubs, infrastructure, healthcare, and institutional designs. Crucially, while work-winning capability is an advantage, it is
not essential. The business boasts a rock-solid, highly secure pipeline of landmark projects. They need your technical mastery, delivery efficiency, and natural ability to mentor an ambitious team.

Key Responsibilities - Technical Authority: Act as the technical lead on complex, bespoke building designs, ensuring innovative and robust structural solutions.
- Team Leadership: Full autonomy to manage, mentor, and grow an established, high-performing team of engineers and drafters.
- Project Delivery: Oversee and drive major multi-sector projects from initial concept through to successful handover, efficiently and effectively.
- Client Trust: Act as the face of the business, confidently attending meetings and liaising with tier-1 architects, builders, and developers.
Skills and Experience - Chartered Status: Chartered Status (CPEng / NER registration) is essential for this level of seniority.
- Proven Track Record: Extensive experience leading major, complex structural building projects within Australia.
- Technical Excellence: A strong industry reputation for solving highly complex structural challenges and delivering clever, efficient designs.
- Communication Style: A natural, confident communicator who can seamlessly manage internal teams and represent our client externally.
