We are working with a long standing client, who are highly respected in the market, a leading Australian engineering consultancy who have excellent staff retrention, this role has come about through new project wins.

Opportunities to join this client are rare, we are looking for a mid to Senior Structural Engineer to autonomy on projects, this client empower their team and have less red tape than many. 

The Role

To be considered you will be confident to lead technical delivery of packages on projects and mentor more junior engineers in the team. This role strikes a great balance between advanced technical design, project ownership, client management, and team leadership. 

Setting you up for the future in this position giving excellent exposure to the whole project lifecyle, with excellent mentoring and development from the Senior Management team on offer. 

• Project Leadership: Manage projects from initial concept through to detailed design plans, documentation, and fee submissions.
• Technical Excellence: Our clients firm place in the market comes from a real focus on quality designs everytime, you will take the lead on complex designs in steel and reinforced concrete. 
• Team Mentorship: Act as a key technical resource, guiding and mentoring graduate engineers. 
• Client & Stakeholder Management: Deal directly with Tier-1 builders, external contractors, and other stakeholders  to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
• Commercial Impact: Oversee financial control of projects, monitor project health, and as you develop your client management you will take on light business development to maintain strong client relationships.

 
What You Bring  
 

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of structural design and documentation experience, expereince within an Australian consultancy and a solid understanding of Australian design codes is key for this position. 
• Softwares:  Advanced proficiency with Spacegass, RC Building / Slabs, and Microsoft Office.
