The Opportunity
Our client are a market leader, structural engineering consultancy known for tackling highly complex structures across a range of specialisms, from mid to high rise commercial and residential to heritage and architecturally challenging institutional projects.
Due to a strong project pipeline, our client are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer with around 6+ years of experience to step into a pivotal project lead role. Working closely under talented Associates, you will act as a key bridge within the team—delegating work packages, mentoring junior staff, and taking direct ownership of client relationships.

Key Responsibilities - Project & Client Management: Attend external consultant, architect, and site meetings, acting as the primary structural point of contact.
- Team Leadership & Quality Control: Manage and mentor younger graduate and intermediate engineers. You will delegate work packages, review engineering calculations/drawings, and take accountability for the sub-team’s delivery.
- Technical Design: As part of the team you will work to offer structural design solutions through a range of design software’s, working knowledge in ETABS, RAPT, RAM Concept and SPACEGASS or similar would be beneficial.
What Our Client is Looking For - Experience: Minimum of 6 years structural design experience preferably within an Australian consultancy.
- Communication Skills: The confidence and clarity required to manage stakeholder relationships and lead internal team meetings.
- Technical Confidence: Experience to solve complex, first-principles structural challenges and a passion and drive for quality every time.
- Qualifications: A Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural) and proficiency in standard design software (e.g., Space Gass, ETABS, RAPT). Progression toward or achievement of Chartered Status (CPEng / NER) is highly regarded.
