Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their awesome team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who enjoys a mix of project delivery, client interaction, and technical leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering geotechnical solutions across a variety of complex projects, from investigation and analysis through to design and construction support.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and deliver geotechnical investigations, assessments, and design solutions
- Interpret site data and provide technical recommendations across projects
- Undertake and review 2D and 3D finite element modelling (FEM) for complex geotechnical problems
- Analyse foundations, retaining structures, ground improvement, and construction interactions with existing infrastructure
- Conduct slope risk assessments in line with relevant industry guidelines
- Prepare and review high-quality technical reports and documentation
- Provide technical guidance and support during construction phases
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the ongoing development of the team
- Support business growth through technical input, proposals, and client engagement
Skills & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 7 years’ geotechnical engineering experience within Australia
- Strong experience across both site-based investigations and technical design
- Proven experience with finite element modelling software such as RS2, RS3, Slide, or similar
- Experience preparing technical assessments and engineering reports
- CPEng accreditation (essential)
- Strong understanding of geotechnical design principles, soil mechanics, and foundation engineering
- Knowledge of Australian Standards and relevant industry guidelines
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to manage projects, clients, and competing priorities effectively
