Our client is a well-established, family-owned civil and structural engineering consultancy based in Wollongong, and they're looking for an experienced Senior Civil / Structural Engineer to join their friendly and supportive team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants more than just another engineering job. You'll work closely with clients, councils and the wider team across a genuinely varied project portfolio, from smaller residential extensions and additions through to multi-million-dollar, high-end beachfront homes.
What you'll be working on
No two projects are the same, and that's exactly what makes this role interesting. You could be working across:
- High-end residential and beachfront developments
- Extensions, additions and renovations
- Civil and structural design projects
- Council-related projects and approvals
- Stormwater and drainage design
- Site investigations and assessments
- Projects ranging from smaller residential works through to multi-million-dollar builds
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and enjoys having a good level of ownership over their work. Ideally, you'll have:
- Strong experience in civil and/or structural engineering
- Senior-level experience within a consulting environment
- Strong residential engineering experience
- Experience dealing with councils, clients and other stakeholders
- Solid design and problem-solving skills
- For civil design 12D experience would be highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills and a practical approach to engineering
