civil and structural engineering consultancy based in Wollongong, and they're looking for an experienced
Senior Civil Engineer with a strong, well-rounded civil engineering background to join their friendly and supportive team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a true civil engineering all-rounder who enjoys variety and has experience across roads, stormwater, sewer, drainage and residential developments.
You'll work closely with clients, councils and the wider team across a genuinely diverse project portfolio, from local road upgrades, intersections and civil infrastructure through to smaller residential developments and
multi-million-dollar, high-end beachfront homes.
What You'll Be Working On No two projects are the same, and that's exactly what makes this role interesting. We're looking for someone who enjoys getting involved in all aspects of civil engineering rather than specialising in just one area.
Projects and responsibilities will include:
- Road design – Local roads, road upgrades, roundabouts, intersections and associated civil infrastructure.
- Sewer and water infrastructure – Sewer design, servicing strategies and coordination with relevant authorities.
- Stormwater and drainage – Stormwater management, drainage networks, on-site detention and associated infrastructure.
- Residential developments – From extensions and additions through to luxury beachfront homes and larger residential projects.
- Earthworks and site grading – Civil design, levels, site preparation and associated works.
- Civil infrastructure design – Working across a broad range of projects requiring practical, technically sound engineering solutions.
- Council approvals and coordination – Liaising with local councils, authorities, clients and other consultants.
- Project delivery – Managing projects from initial concept through to detailed design, documentation and completion.
- Site investigations and assessments – Providing practical engineering advice and solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
What You'll Bring We're looking for an experienced
Senior Civil Engineer who is a genuine all-rounder, comfortable working across different types of civil projects and confident taking ownership of their work.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Strong experience in civil engineering design within an Australian consulting environment.
- Solid road design experience, including roads, roundabouts, intersections and associated infrastructure.
- Experience in sewer design and water servicing, with a good understanding of relevant authority requirements.
- Strong knowledge of stormwater drainage, earthworks, site grading and civil infrastructure.
- Experience across residential and building-related civil projects.
- Confidence managing projects, coordinating deliverables and dealing directly with clients.
- Experience liaising with councils, approval authorities and other stakeholders.
- Strong technical design skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
- 12d experience would be highly regarded.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team.
