We are seeking an experienced
Civil Designer with strong
12D modelling skills to join a respected engineering consultancy delivering
large-scale land development projects across QLD.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of detailed civil design delivery across a range of urban development projects. About the Role You will play a key role in producing high-quality civil design documentation for projects typically involving 200–1000+ residential lots. The successful candidate will be confident working across bulk earthworks, road geometry, stormwater, sewer, and water reticulation, with a strong understanding of relevant local standards and constructability requirements.
Key Responsibilities - Deliver detailed design using 12D Model, supported by AutoCAD, across a variety of land development and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare models and documentation for:
- Bulk earthworks and lot grading
- Road alignments, intersections, and verge treatments
- Stormwater drainage (pipe and surface flow)
- Sewer and water reticulation
- Create detailed design outputs: long sections, cross sections, layouts, and construction documentation
- Liaise with engineers, internal teams, local councils, and service authorities.
- Review design information and respond to construction queries during the delivery phase.
- Support project coordination, design compliance, and client deliverables.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience as a Civil Designer in a consultancy environment, ideally 5+ years.
- High-level proficiency in 12D Model, particularly in greenfield subdivision and infrastructure design.
- Understanding of Australian design standards
- Ability to work independently and manage design tasks across multiple projects.
- High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
A Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline will be highly regarded.
