The Role
We are seeking an experienced mid-level Façade Engineer to join the local Newcastle team. In this role, you will take a hands-on approach to design and documentation, deliver high-quality concept and detailed plans, and assist in managing client relationships across the Hunter and beyond. You will also enjoy the opportunity to help guide and support junior graduate engineers and drafters.
Key Responsibilities: - Design & Documentation: Prepare concept and detailed design plans, specifications, and technical engineering drawings to prescribed Australian standards.
- Project Delivery: Assist in monitoring project milestones to ensure items are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with Workplace Health & Safety Regulations.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for project queries, building strong daily working relationships with clients, builders, and contractors on-site.
- Technical Support: Provide day-to-day technical guidance and informal mentoring to graduate engineers and drafting staff.
About You To be considered for this role, you will bring:
- A Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualifications.
- A minimum of 3 to 6 years’ experience in the design and documentation of Façade Engineering projects.
- Solid project experience with Curtain Walls, Hebel Cladding, Masonry, and Waterproofing.
- Strong familiarity and competence with relevant Australian Standards and building sector legislation.
- Excellent report-writing skills, a sharp eye for reviewing design drawings, and growing financial acumen.
