Civil Drafter – Urban Development Projects | Newcastle | AutoCAD | Growing Team

An Australian-owned engineering consultancy with a strong presence across NSW is seeking an experienced Civil Drafter to join their rapidly growing Newcastle team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on urban development projects including subdivisions, mixed-use precincts, residential estates, and commercial developments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed civil drawings for urban development projects using AutoCAD.
  • Produce plans for siteworks, grading, earthworks, pavements, drainage, and stormwater systems.
  • Develop marking plans, sections, elevations, and construction drawings.
  • Coordinate drawing interfaces with architects, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Assist engineers in concept, detailed, and construction documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of drafting processes and tools.
Skills & Experience:
  • Qualification in Civil Design or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in civil drafting.
  • Strong skills in AutoCAD
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality drawings.
