The role The Project Coordinator will support Project Managers in the planning, coordination and delivery of major building projects. This role is ideal for an organised and proactive individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced project environment and is keen to contribute to the success of large-scale developments.
Key Responsibilities include - Provide day-to-day assistance to Project Managers
- Support project planning activities, including maintaining schedules, milestones, deliverables and dependencies.
- Coordinate internal and external communications among engineers, designers, contractors, clients and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation such as meeting minutes, correspondence, reports, drawings, RFIs and change orders.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues and assist with implementing corrective actions.
- Support budget tracking and cost control by logging invoices, managing variations and preparing progress reports under the direction of the Project Manager.
- Liaise with site teams to support logistics, site coordination, inspections and quality control processes.
- Maintain accurate records of permits, compliance documentation and project approvals.
- Assist with project close-out tasks, including final documentation, handover packages and lessons learned reports.
- Contribute to the company’s sustainability and innovation objectives through responsible project coordination and team collaboration.
- Undertake general administrative and coordination duties as required.
Skills and Experience Required - 2–5 years’ experience in a project coordination or assistant project management role within the building, construction or engineering sectors.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in liaising across multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- A solid understanding of project budgets, change management and contract administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word); experience with project management software is advantageous.
- A proactive, detail-oriented and team-focused approach to work.
