Mid to Senior Civil Design Engineer to take ownership of technical design delivery across multiple projects.
This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone confident in detailed design, coordination, and driving compliant, construction-ready outcomes.
The Role As a Civil Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical delivery of land development projects, from concept design through to IFC documentation.
Key Responsibilities - Undertake detailed civil design for residential subdivisions and urban development projects
- Design bulk earthworks strategies including site grading and lot drainage
- Prepare road geometry design including horizontal and vertical alignments, intersections, and crossfalls
- Design stormwater drainage systems including pipe networks, detention systems, and overland flow management
- Coordinate sewer and water reticulation layouts in accordance with servicing authority requirements
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, long sections, cross sections, and construction documentation
- Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards, local council planning schemes, and development guidelines
- Liaise with councils, service authorities, and other consultants to obtain approvals
- Provide technical input during construction, including responding to RFIs and resolving design issues
- Contribute to project programming, design coordination, and delivery timeframes
What You’ll Bring - Degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years’ experience delivering land development projects in a consultancy environment
- Strong capability using 12D Model
- Solid understanding of Queensland local authority standards
- Ability to manage design packages across multiple projects
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality documentation
- Clear communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
